Really enjoyed the day driving an old school Land Rover with my son. I had explained to him what a different experience, it would be driving without all the modern technology that newer cars have. The locations and views were spectacular adding to the over all experience. Unfortunately a section of proper off road driving was foreseeably closed which meant my son would have missed out on this - due from the way he and I had been rotating the driving. I explained this to our guide on the day and I was really impressed when the offered to extend the drive in order to go to another location, so my son could experience this. Thank you it made his day and mine - to see how much he enjoyed it.

An amazing experience from start to finish. I haven’t grinned so much in years, I learned to drive in a series 2A so it was great to get back behind the wheel and remind myself what it feels like to do a 35 point turn! We had the rag top series 3 long wheel base (the yellow one because it matched my daughter’s hoodie!!!!), the kids loved the bench seats in the back. The tour took us through forests, fords, the Elan Valley, and some fantastic green lanes and the Land Rover didn’t miss a beat. Tour guide was helpful and knowledgable as was the pre-start briefing. Very well organised. Don’t think about it, just book it!

An excellent day out around the Elam Valley. Spoilt slightly by the traditional Welsh weather in the afternoon but we had a great time, the Lamdrovers were in excellent condition and were really good to drive. Jonathan, our host was amazing, friendly, down to earth, funny and took us to places that we would have never visited on our own . I would definitely recommend doing this. Great tour in a beautiful location. We were warmly welcomed and given clear explanations by James before getting into our allocated Land Rover. Then we drove in separate vehicles along roads to Rhayader, had a loo stop, and went on to go off road on the most incredibly bumpy tracks. We were impressed at how the vehicle rose to the challenge of these, far more so than a modern LR we had tried recently elsewhere. The weather was perfect and the land wasn't sodden as it had been recently, there were some good troughs to drive through. We saw deer, larks and red kites.

James has his own series 3 vintage land rover so was will used to the handling of these great vehicles . We had 5 and a half hour out covering over 70 miles, had lunch on top of a mountain, plenty of off road experiences and passed through some fantastic mid-wales scenery.. Although wet during the day the land rovers performed superbly giving James valuable experience when using his own vintage vehicle. The hospitality was greatly appreciated along with Jon's banter. Excellent value for money and although i rode shotgun for the day it was a tremendous day. I would recommend a trip. An amazing experience...... Wonderful old Land Rovers, perfectly maintained variants from 1964 to 1984. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, he gave us clear instructions on how to get the best from the vehicles. From a great cup of tea at the initial briefing in the farmhouse to the debrief in the yard after our trip - everything was provided with the highest level of professionalism...... We had a great time and can't recommend Vintage Land Rover Tours highly enough.... Thanks ever so much - we will be back for more!!

Wow, what can I say? It was awesome from start to finish. Such a great day out. It was a surprise for my fiancé's 50th birthday. He had a smile on his face all day, while driving a vintage Land Rover.....and now he wants one of his own! Thank you very much Jonathan. Highly recommended. I give it a 6 out of 5 stars.

Amazing day! Fantastic hosts who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Relaxing but fun time in wonderful scenery. Cannot recommend enough! Best vintage Land Rover tour in uk! Will definitely be back!

It could only be 5 stars! We had a totally wonderful time.
It took a little while (and some leg strength!) to get the hang of the vintage land rover but it was so wonderful. Rumbling along, up, down and jigging around we took in some great on and off road landscapes and learnt some new driving skills along the way.
Can't recommend it enough. If we had more time we would do it again!!!

It could only be 5 stars! We had a totally wonderful time.

My wife and I went with a couple of friends on full day tour last Sunday. We had the best day and so much fun doing something we’d always wanted to try. What’s not to like about old Land Rovers and stunning Welsh scenery up in the hills.
Jonathan and Sally are so lovely and helpful, and Jonathan’s knowledge of the area and old land Rovers is second to none.
We covered about 70 miles starting with a good long drive on quiet country lanes getting used to the vehicles and then started turned off to go on approved green lanes.
We’d taken a picnic with us giving Jonathan greater flexibility on where he could take us so lunch with Land Rovers near the top of a mountain is going to take some beating on a beautiful sunny day.
If you haven’t done a tour, do it, and you have - do it again. We definitely will.

This activity is well worth a review. We booked a full day tour for Sat 18th Feb and were not dissapointed. There were x3 of us in our party and we all had a go. It was refreshing to do an outdoor activity which tested our abilities and delivered some new experiences for us all. Booked a vintage landrover tour for my husbands birthday. They were really welcoming and friendly. He got to drive a lovely vintage landrover and absolutely loved it. As a passenger I enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend it. Guide was great 👍
